Young boy sentenced to im-patient.

In Arizona, a young boy admitted killing his father, along with another man. The young boy was charged with two counts of homicide, but after plea bargaining the chargers were only one count of negligence homicide. Instead of this ten year old going to a juvenile detention center, he will be attending im-patient. Though there was not much released of what will be happening while the young boy is in im-patient, one thing that will defiantly be going on is psychiatric help. Every two and a half years the boy will have follow up evaluations so the court is updated on his progress.

My Response:
I don't think that this ten year old should be in im-patient. I believe that he should be in a juvenile center. He took two lives violently and shouldn't just be in a psychiatric hospital. Yes he will be getting help, but it is not guaranteed. He could come out of the facility at eighteen years old and commit more murders. I just believe he should be locked up. I don't think he is a danger to himself, just to other people.

News Log Number 17

The Junior' Gotti case is finally over. In five years, four trials have ended with jurors being hung, and now prosecutors haven given up on charging John A. Gotti Junior on any mob related charges. On Wednesday morning the case was officially closed with the signing of the documents by the assistant U.S Attorney. Last fall Gotti Junior was on trial for two months, but after jurors stepped forward and said that the trial was a deadlock, the case was called off as a mistrial.

My Response:
I think that it is wrong that the charges on Gotti are dropped and that his case was called as a mistrial. He has been accused of wrong doing and should be punished for it.

Pomegranates could be the fruit that is a treatment for breast cancer. Ohio State researchers claim that pomegranates
naturally produces a chemical known as ellagic acid, which helps slow and even prevent the growth of cancer cells in breast tissue. The researchers say that pomegranates have recently been noted for their antioxidants and potential cancer fighting attributes. This is the first study that has been published involving pomegranates. Experts aren't telling people to eat pomegranates instead of taking medicine just yet. But soon experts believe that people will start seeing pomegranates used in breast cancer prevention.

My Response:
I think that it is a good idea that there is research that has gone on that does not have to involve medicine. It's great that people are trying to figure out a cure for a cancer that has ruined the life of many women. If people keep doing research I'm sure they would be able to find a cure for it.
